A Message from Our Pastor
The past weeks have been like no other I’ve experienced in my life. Cut-off from in-person contact; limitations on where I can go; stores and restaurants closed; and even more troubling, people affected by COVID 19, first responders stretched to the breaking point in many communities; families broken through sickness and death. It’s hard to believe tens of millions of people are struggling with unemployment. So much stress. In the midst of all of this I have come to recognize God is continuing the process of building a Spiritual House in which we are called to be Living Stones. I have no doubt that God continues to be present and responsive. Part of our responsibility is to call on God. If your heart is breaking, cry-out. If you’re afraid, call-out. If you’re thankful, express your gratitude to God. One of the things I most appreciate about God is the gracious invitation to come be with God–or to invite God to be with us–just as we are. Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God, was as real a person as ever walked the earth. His relationship with the Father was as real as it gets. The amazing and wonderful thing: God makes us more real, more alive, more who we truly are, than we could ever hope or imagine to be by what we do. Fully entering into relationship with God is the most demanding, but also the most rewarding life-long choice we can make.
For the near term we will be holding worship services online via YouTube live stream. In accordance with Kern County guidelines we will hold in-person worship services at some point in the future. Feel free to use the contact form to get in touch with me. May you experience God’s blessing today!!
